Wings will tear up the East this year. Thoughts?

We'll see. Could happen. I always thought of the East as an easier conference. It'll be interesting to see how they pan out there this year.

More importantly, have you heard any truth to the rumors that the Red Wings are looking to move Abdelkader? I think he's a bit overrated due to his lack of offensive abilities, but would help stop the Oilers bleeding now that Gagner is out for likely a month or so.

I was under the impression that Abdelkader was a winger? Am I wrong on this? I think he would be a great 3rd line player however, definately something the Oilers should look into.

I don't know if it's that easy. How was the Wings' record against the East last season, or the full year before that? I believe the West has had a slight edge in inter-Conference games the past years, but I'm not sure the Wings will automatically do that much better.

I I looked earlier and saw the wings had a fairly good record against east two years ago. I know lowetide mentioned he thinks they'll win the east this year, for what it's worth. I think they could do fairly well. Easier schedule for them now.. Reasonable success vs east.. I'd say it's a fairly safe bet, but nothing certain. The east teams could kill a few wings too. Lol all bush league over there, thanks to Toronto, Boston, Phillips and perhaps Buffalo now
