It's that time of year again! With the scouting combine just around the corner (Monday May 28 - Saturday June 2) NHL organizations are doing their last bit of research, looking to add young and talented players to their teams through the entry draft. Instead of regurgitation information and scouting reports on the players I thought it would be a better idea to give everyone list of resources that I've come across the past few drafts, mostly from this year however.

Scouting Combine: Monday May 28 - Saturday June 2
Television: NHL Scouting Combine (TSN) Friday at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt
http://www.tsn.ca/draftcentre/ (TSN is usually pretty good for info on the fitness portion during the combine)
https://twitter.com/#!/TSNBobMcKenzie (Updates frequently during fitness testing with results)
http://puttingonthefoil.com/2011/06/nhl ... mbine-faq/ (Small article I wrote up last year explain the fitness side of things)

Draft Profiles + Information
NHL Draft Website (NHL's official draft related information)
The Hockey Writers: The Next Ones (Personal favourite this year for profile write-ups)
NHL Mock Draft (Can't believe I found this one only this morning, excellent profile write ups)
TSN's Bob McKenzie's List (Bob McKenzie's Draft Ranking's (MID), highly regarded around the hockey world)
International Scouting Services (World class scouting organization) Recent List on TSN
Future Considerations (Good source of information on prospects, great at predicting future projections)
The Red Line Report (Excellent resource and top quality insight - Lowetide speaks highly of the Red Line Report)
HFBoards: Prospects (If you can sift through a lot of the crap, there are some diamonds here)
BLUE BULLET (His first round prediction record speaks for itself - on par with Bob McKenzie's %)

Oilogosphere (Oilers Blogs and Websites)
Lowetide: Great insight, pool of resources some deem him "Grandfather of the Oilogosphere" Ex. Yakupov Profile
Oilersnation: Most of these guys get paid for a living doing what they do, great stuff here. Ex. Last year's RNH Profile
The Copper & Blue: I don't read here often but If it's by Derek Zona, I'd suggest reading it. In-depth insight and statistically fortified.
Putting On The Foil Racki and sometimes the other admins write some info closer to the draft, pretty good reads and discussions.

Feel free to post information, resources or opinions/proposals on the up coming draft. Unfortunately in a lot of the internet community there tends to be a lot of group-think when it comes to the draft. I'm assuming a large number of fans have only seen a small sample of a handful of the eligible players at best, and yet a lot of the online community tends to form a "consensus" opinion based of a few lists ostracizing a lot of ideas and opinions. I've only started following the draft closely the last few seasons but one thing I learned is that it is an unpredictable and exciting event and to keep my mind open.

This one eluded me for a bit! Thanks for putting this together.. nice little summary post for draft info. I can't believe that the draft combine is on right now, and I didn't even have any clue. Sign #1 that I've been way too busy at work.
